Classic Hits heard on 1090 AM in Seattle, WA? Any idea who it could be?

Hello all,

While driving around tonight near the Seattle metropolitan area, I came across something rather unusual - what appeared to be classic hits on 1090 AM. Although local sports outlet, KFNQ, remained dominant, there were periods where this mysterious station seemed pretty strong. I was able to hear quite a bit of Raspberry Beret, and pieces of a Chicago ballad around 11:25 PST. I've already ruled out "The Mighty 1090" from Tijuana, and can't seem to find any other station that would have been a likely catch. Perhaps another (more experienced DXer) would have some idea of what this station could be!

Cheers.

Why have you ruled out XEPRS? It was recently taken back by its licensee when the company that leased it for sports fell many months behind in paying the rent, and they are apparently filling with programming from an adult hits station in Texas which the licensee of XEPRS owns. The songs you heard fit the format.

"The sports format abruptly disappeared from the station today (4/10), replaced by Adult Hits music, reportedly from KJAV/MCALLEN, TX,"

That is interesting. When I looked up "Mighty 1090" online and listened into the stream, the programming still appeared to be CBS Sports...

Yes, that is a stream only station now. The AM signal, leased from the Bichara family in Moneterrey (the one with two r's), was cut away from the sports format for failure to pay.
