Clear Channel Adds Thumbplay to its Radio Family of Assets

Clear Channel Adds Thumbplay to its Radio Family of Assets

• Clear Channel sees radio-based digital platforms continuing to grow at lightning speed for many years to come, and we are always looking for new opportunities to reach our customers and expand our offerings to create the best user experience possible. Digital radio expands overall radio listening and reaches consumers throughout their day.

• Thumbplay is a cutting-edge, digital/cloud-based music technology which will play an integral role as Clear Channel continues to build upon our leadership in the digital content arena.

• Thumbplay’s technology allows us to quickly and substantially add new features and services to iHeartRadio, including enabling users to create their own personalized radio stations and the capability to deploy a variety of subscription services.

• iHeartRadio is Clear Channel’s internet radio platform of 750 digital radio stations from 150 cities – all available via the free, iHeartRadio app. 24 million iHeartRadio apps have been downloaded.

• Clear Channel radio reaches 228 million people on a monthly basis with our terrestrial stations, and 25 million monthly uniques online.

• Clear Channel’s unequalled ability to reach and promote our integrated music product offers our advertising partners a promotional/marketing/musical platform that nobody else can match.

• Our goal is to transform our radio business into an integrated media and entertainment enterprise that leverages all of Clear Channel’s powerful local brands and personalities.

Re: Clear Channel Adds Thumbplay to its Radio Family of Assets

That is really cool technology and it's nice to see somebody taking a leadership role and really trying to adapt themselves into a platform that works equally well no matter how you choose to tune in and get your music & information.
