ClearChannel, Peach, Oldies, and Atlanta? What might all these factors form....?

This is my prediction and I'm making this prediction based on what I see as logic but I'm not a pro at this so someone correct me if you think I'm looking at this wrong.

WILD is doing great. WILD has a horrible signal inside the city. WILD will move to 96.1 which would cover east west north south equally.

Project would then move to 105.3 This signal covers the city fine and areas on the west and south side. The weakness from 105.3 comes from the north and east. Going by Project's facebook page, many of their listeners are over in Paulding, Carroll, Coweta and Harralson counties in West Ga. 105.3 would make sense. Project will NOT, I repeat, NOT go any where.

105.7/96.7 would become some sort of classic hits (pop leaning) format. Why such a poor signal? Because it will need to first prove itself. The format, for whatever reason, was pulled off of 106.7 so if another company tries this format, they may start off small then go big if it does well (much like they are probably doing with WILD). I wonder if they are going to simulcast the signal on both frequencies though?

I just don't see the Bull going anywhere.

Side Note: Something is up with 105.7 signal. During the afternoon, usually I get 105.7 downtown with 80% clarity but occasionally its more like 40%. However, I've pulled 105.7 down to McDonough and this has happened several times. I'm almost wanting to bet that there may be something in downtown that screws with 105.7 in a more significant way than the typical interference from buildings, etc.

I still think that CC should pick up Art Sutton's translator in Suwanee to simul 105.3. That would take care of 105.3's weak spot.

I wouldn't be shocked if CC does throw away Project 961, but i don't really think that will happen after all the money spent to bring in Kidd Chris.

Yeah Kidd Chris' multi-million dollar contract is a real deal breaker.

Doesn't make sense to me. Why focus Project in West and South Atlanta? That's not where their listeners are. And why put any new format that need to prove itself first on a better combination of signals than Project?

What would make more sense to me is simply to maybe just switch Wild and Project.

Most of their listeners are white blue collar men from the more rural parts of Georgia. If you look at their facebook page, most of their listeners are out of Paulding, Haralson, Carroll, Douglas, Coweta county areas which is generally out along I-20 on the west side of the city. Remember, Project was originally 105.3 the buzz and they were doing so good they moved it to 96.1 Maybe they should go back to 105.3 where they at one time proved themselves pretty well.

WNOW in Charlotte immediately flipped at 5pm yesterday to a format that plays 70's 80's old skool.. Nothing happening in Atlanta as usual. This is 2 stations in that market that have flipped in the last 2 months by, this one was by Radio One . WNOW was a regional Mexican format ironically on the same frequency as the one here. Why can't Atlanta just "flip a switch", we have to have pomp and circumstance for 3 weeks to tout a tired station???

WGST AM is most likely will continue to clear CC's Nationwide spots and become Rush Radio without out saying Rush Radio, so no changes. 94.9 Country (still thought of as blue collar but not really) and 96.1 's "white blue collar men" under 25 might have some sales power. If this is not enough billings then:

CC really needs to do is swap 105.3 for Radio One's 107.5 and put their Hispanic on 107.5. 105.3 would work as a Urban signal for Radio One.

If such a trade is not possible, put Hispanic on 105.7. Project on 105.3 and 96.7 (if possible). Put the CHR / Dance / Urban on 96.1 and go after Q100 and Star.

This will leave Classic Hits for the upgraded 107.1

Power 96.1 is moving to replace Project.

A new format is taking place on 105.7..... The power domain was registered late - so a 1057 one might be used the same way.
