I don't think that pageants in particular don't do well in either south, north, east or west. The last Miss America Pageant only drew a 9.8 rating on ABC last year. Cable network ratings are very different than network ratings.
What did(emphasize did) CMT stand for in the first place? Country Music Television. Who ruined that distinction? Viacom and that they started showing reality shows,NASCAR shows, hosts like Roseanne who don't have nothing to do with country music, movies that don't have a country music theme except for Pure Country with George Strait, and yet they think movies like All The Right Moves are country movies. Like I have said on previous posts,Viacom has ruined everything they touched.
I wish that CMT would show reruns of country music shows like Hee Haw,The Porter Wagoner Show,Dolly's variety show from the 70's and also the 1987-1988 show she did on ABC. They did show reruns of Glen Campbell's Goodtime Hour in
2002 and 2003,the very last time I watched CMT entirely. Now CMT is one big joke.
