College FM dark for holidays - legal to leave XMTR on?

Why go dark? Automation is cheap. Just use a PC and Winamp set for shuffle with some legal ID's thrown in.
Keep in mind that most college stations (and I don’t mean megabuck NPR wannabees) are still run by academic folks. They may not be aware of the inexpensive automation alternatives. From personal experience, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve found it necessary to “educate” some of the educators. Then again, in this case, maybe no one cares.
