Colmes accuses Rush of saying Obama wants ebola to hit the US...

That's another aspect of the damned lie that only the middle has the truth. It is wrong to contend that the issue is "purity". It's not about whether a party is "pure as the driven snow". The issue is whether the political philosophy and principles of one side of the spectrum or the other are most likely to result in the best possible condition for people to live and flourish. It's not about either side doing "evil", it's about either side doing damn fool stupid things. The solution to our problems is to adopt the core principles that are most likely to be the best.

In short, it's between liberty or totalitarianism. It's between a free economy based on private enterprise on one hand and a government controlled and regulated command economy on the other hand. In the middle lies chaos.

A free economy?? We have that now for the most part and look at what has happened...jobs sent overseas, people out of work, etc....Teddy Roosevelt knew that the balance to OPEN run away Capitalism was labor...but it had not gotten to the point where it could so he had the Government step in and do the trust busting, etc...Unions were supposed to be and were the balancing force through the 50-70s..but a lot of people then took advantage of the unions...and they grew to be almost exactly what they were supposed to be protecting the workers from....

I was a IBEW union steward....and saw many examples of company abuse...but the union is only as good as the members in it and involved and I have seen abuse from that side in companies where they were non union in some areas but union in metro areas. (The unions in broadcasting in the major markets evidently work well because of the involvement and everyone gets a decent pay)...

same thing with Government....when people get lethargic, someone/thing else takes over...and hence business nowadays only cares about profits.....most dont care about employees....in fact, they trim the lines...look at the radio groups as a good example....all run by bean counters who dont give a s**t about the employees....only the $$$ and yet they have sunk themselves into debt...using OTHER people's (aka: investors) money...

Everything has to be a give and take...you cannot have it all one way or the other....that never works well....chaos does NOT lie in the middle. It is one extreme...with dictatorship on the other...

You are assuming I care what Colmes says, or Rush for that matter. Whatever the quality of the source, I don't read articles about subjects that don't interest me. Colmes sold out by going to work for Fox and agreeing to be Hannity's designated punching bag. Rush sold out when he became a shill for the RNC.

Hear what the fat, drug addled gas bag said for yourself.
Interesting. Rush actually said, "I may be wrong."

That's not a rare occurence. He often notes he might be mistaken. Only one who rarely hears his program would think that rare.

He never said he wanted Ebola to hit the US, only that the President's policies might make that far more possible.

Yeah, he was really wrong on that, wasn't he?
