...or Washington Vs New England. What a freakin' joke that was! Nothing grinds my gears more than having to hear Gil Santos, the radio voice of the Patriots. I swear he has red/while/silver/blue pom poms in the booth with him. Ugh! :(

I guess you haven't some of these other homer announcers in places like Cincinnati, Chicago, Oakland, and a few other NFL towns. They're everywhere...some are just worse than others. Personally, I haven't heard enough of Santos to comment.

Gil isn't that bad at all - especially when compared with other teams' announcers.

KML is from Connecticut and probably has an axe to grind about the Pats, who jilted the state a few years back. ;)

Looks like Oakland will be joined by Atlanta in the blackout department:

The team announced Tuesday that some 3,000 tickets are still available for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers, endangering a streak of 56 consecutive sellouts at the 70,000-seat Georgia Dome.

If the Falcons don't sell the remaining tickets by 1 p.m. Thursday, the game would be blacked out locally under NFL rules. They have sold out every home game since Arthur Blank bought the team in 2002.

On the contrary! I'm actually happy they never came to Connecticut! I HATE the Patriots and EVERYTHING that relates to them. I am a disgruntled Miami Dolphins fan and consider New England to be my arch rival. Even if the Patriots did the untinkable and started 0-8-0 like we have, I'd still hate them! OK...I feel better now! :)

[glow=aqua,2,300]GO COLTS!! STUFF THE PATS!!

Update: all California CBS affils now running Pats-Colts. Only three stations with Texans-Raiders: KHOU, KBTX, KFDM. No late game on CBS in Cleveland as the Browns are at home on Fox at that time.

Colossal embarrassment for both the Raiders and Texans, but that's what happens when you stink.

In other blackout news, the Falcons have indeed been blacked out on WAGA/5, which will instead air the Green Bay/Kansas City game at 1 PM on Sunday.
