Comcast Blocks The Channels DVR Service From Recording NBC, Bravo, USA, MSNBC, CNBC,

Some of this is tied to Comcast protecting the Peacock app the way this is going.

The few people who do wish to record content from these stations for later playback do have other options, however. They can use an external box to record the shows and content they want to have available later, or they can just drop Comcast and go elsewhere. Most all the more popular streaming services come with a certain amount of memory for recording and later playback.

As I've mentioned in past threads, we evaluate our options for cable vs. streaming every 6 months or so. So far, all things considered, even with recent rate hikes, Comcast is still the best value for us considering the channels we watch on a regular basis and all Comcast comes with. That said, if the Regional Sports Networks like Bally fold or go away and Comcast continues to raise rates and at the same time the content or quality of available content decreases, I'll jump ship like hoards of others have already done.
