Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia; the channel needs to be on satellite

comparing basic services, the satellite services still offer more channels for a (somewhat) lower price - and provides a better picture than cable's analog tier.
Found something interesting a few weeks ago, at least to a heavy TV watcher--way up on my digital cable service, there were channel numbers up in the 800s or something like that that were all the same channels in the basic package. Turns out those are the digital versions of the basic channels (and the box would pick up those channels automatically if you entered the corresponding "basic" channel number, like 15 for my ESPN would automatically go to 815 for the digital version even though the box still said 15). If I understand what I was told when I asked correctly, 'digital' customers now get no analog signals on the lower numbered channels, though of course people without the box still get analog signals.
