Regarding RSN's are the rest of the FOX Sports _____ place city here all fully owned by FOX Sports? Just seeing if Comcast had a percentage in any still.
Umm Dude.....I would think Connecticut would get CSN New England (Formerly FSN New England) on cable.....MarcB said:I think Tribune is gonna need to find a new sponsor for their Weekend "Sports Ticket" Show on FOX Connecticut. Currently it's "The Comcast Sports desk" powered by Xfininity. Something tells me a FOX affiliate wouldn't be too happy with "The NBC Comcast Sports desk".
That's the cable company side of things. Beyond the obvious control & ownership, one doesn't have anything to do with the other.Mainedude2007 said:MarcB said:I think Tribune is gonna need to find a new sponsor for their Weekend "Sports Ticket" Show on FOX Connecticut. If it went that way then yes, but you can cover up the NBC connection if it's just referred to as "Xfinity". Comcast buys advertising on NESN for Xfininity even though the main competition is Comcast SportsNet.
This is the one I'm still trying to wrap my head around.Mainedude2007 said:The ones that are still branded as Fox Sports Net are all 100% News Corp, Comcast renamed all theirs (and dropped a large chunk of FSN programming for those that had the affiliation) and Directv/Liberty renamed all theirs to Root Sports.

That's what I don't get.
This one's a stumper.....

Well given this & the posts about Texas elsewhere in this thread, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if Comcast decided to dump the joke of a network called CET here in Denver (And wherever else its at) & replace it with an NBC Sports channel.ShawnHill1 said:Pat Cook said:And why aren't SportSouth, Prime Ticket & Sun Sports under the ROOT Sports name?

That's because Fox owns SportSouth and Prime Ticket outright, and owns a majority stake in Sun Sports (with Comcast owning the rest; Sun and Fox Sports Florida operate as sister networks).

And if Altitude were smart, the'd take Altitude 2 (Which they curently use & is on the air during scheduling conflicts with the regular channel only), affiliate that with NBC Sports like they affiliated the regular channel with ESPN Plus, stick the Avs on Altitude 2 (Since NBC has the national NHL rights anyway) & fill in the rest of the time with other programming from NBC Sports & what they normally air on the regular channel (Just not at the same time though)recto101 said:1069_KIFR said:Same here. Look at KNTV airing Giants games produced by Comcast Sports that is a good fit for them. Comcast being renamed as NBC Sports Net bay Area.
