COMEDY CENTRAL ORDERS 26 MORE EPISODES OF "FUTURAMA" CARTOON

Don't know how you feel about it, but I thought "Futurama" was one of the WORST
cartoons of all time. YUCK! .............cartoon-yes.........comedy-no.

from deadline.com

That's pretty good for a second lease of life - Comedy Central is finalizing a deal for a 26-episode seventh season pickup of Futurama. Comedy Central resurrected Matt Groening and David X. Cohen's animated sci-fi comedy in 2009, six years after it was cancelled by Fox, with a 26-episode sixth season order. The first batch of 13 episodes from Season 6 averaged 2.5 million viewers, with the remaining 13 airing this summer. The 26 newly ordered episodes will follow the same pattern, airing in two installments of 13 episodes in 2012 and 2013. Futurama has been a big hit online, growing from 1 million Facebook fans at its launch on Comedy Central to 11 million.

COMMENT: even a ball of yarn would find some facebook followers.

Indeed, even an onion ring got over a million followers on Facebook! ::)

And it's an order for more episodes of the "Futurama cartoon" - as opposed to the "Futurama live action movie" (which I'm sure is going to be planned by the year 2500).

Wow, I'm sorry to hear you don't like Futurama. I LOVE it. I just hate that it's only on cable/satellite, where I cannot watch it.

+1 to that. I watched Futurama since it came on FOX back in 1999 and rarely missed a first-run episode. The movies were a bit disappointing, but the regular episodes are as good as the original FOX run.

Maybe MyNetwork, in running reruns, can pick up Futurama. :D

I didn't like Futurama when it was on Fox, but I like it on Comedy Central. It seems better for some reason.

The first 13 episodes from season 6 are on Netflix streaming, if you have that.

I'm sure the second 13 will follow later this year, after they finish their run on Comedy Central.

No luck. My parents have a DVD Netflix subscription but my internet connection back at home is too slow to support streaming.

My Internet connection at school is fast enough but I don't have the time or the account.

It was better on adult swim in my opinion. There's no annoying pop-up ads or squeezed credits on adult swim unlike on Comedy Central. The only downside being on adult swim is they didn't order new episodes at that time.

Me either. I enjoy it, but don't quite LOVE it. I was lucky to see a movie in the mountains at a motel.

I hope so. I LOVE "Monk".
