Comedy Central Presents Movie in Original Aspect Radio (2:35: 1)

I noticed Comedy Central presenting the movie "Up in Smoke" in its original aspect ratio of 2:35: 1 today rather than a cropped version in the 1:85: 1 aspect ratio. I hope they display other theatrical movies with aspect ratios greater than 1:85: 1 properly in the future such as "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure", "Ghostbusters" and "Ghostbusters II", all of which were presented by Comedy Central in the past (even though I have those three movies on DVDs, my wish is for folks who had never seen them before be given chances to see them in their original formats).

I realized later I misspelled the word "ratio" in the title of this topic. I wish I had the ability to correct the title.  :-[

No hard feelings - after all, this is a radio board on which the error was made, so you're forgiven. ;D

I am personally not a fan of this practice, as two of my sets are old-school CRT types. I am tired of watching
movies and sporting events squeezed into a little ribbon across the middle of my screen.

But is is definitely a trend. As an alternative I really wish DirecTV would offer a zoom function on their
basic SD boxes.
