Coming to 106.7 on a Radio Near You...

Wow! They're not even trying to hide this from the public. Under the "schedule" tab on their website all you see is Spiff and Fred for 3 hours and Scott Shannon for the remaining week with the exception of one hour of "The True Report" on Sunday. Scott is good, but come on!

Nothing aginst Rob Lee he is good, but personally I would put Mark Mc Cain on afternoons on True Oldies 106.7,he use to fill in for Randy and Spiff on Fox 97. True Oldies needs more local programing.

For local, you are right, especially in a market of this magnitude.

I prefer local programming. I like Rob Lee he's a good guy. I wish they would have him back on the weekends doing Country Gold on Kicks. It would make weekend listening much more fun.

That would be nice...and there's no shortage of good talent to use. Bob Bailey of Z93 and Sunny 100 (and Lake 102?) comes to mind in addition to Mark McCain.

But if Citadel is trying to do music radio on the cheap...it might be a non-starter, even if they VTed the on-air talent for non-drive shifts.

Doing something on the cheap is the entire reason True Oldies is on 106.7. It's part of Citidel's process of turning a Lexus (i.e. the former ABC stations) into a Yugo.

I have nothing against Rob Lee either, the only thing is that Country Gold doesn't fit the target audience Kicks is trying to reach. If you want to hear classic country on the weekends,WNGC plays it every Saturday night from 6pm-midnight,the host Mark Overby is a trip.
