Wouldn't surprise me if the one for Maplesville is being bid on by someone within the Reynolds family, just under a different company name (among the many ones they already use). Why anyone would want those allotments in areas with miniscule populations is beyond me...From what they said Friday afternoon, Thomaston and Camden have no bids yet. Maplesville may have a winner. My contact is 99.9% sure of it. Stay tuned and I'll keep you posted.

Don't the Reynolds have business connections with Chris Johnson? Isn't he one of the partners to whom they sold 50% of WKLF? Also, weren't those two parties involved somehow in the sale/move of WAMI and the FM translator in Calera which never materialized? Sounds as though Reynolds may not have actually applied for the Maplesville allotment "on paper", but Reynolds might be operating the new station "behind the curtain". After all, the "Peach" intellectual property was (maybe still is) owned by Reynolds...Now that you have revealed the winner, I can tell you what Mr. Chris Johnson's plans are.

Maybe. Given Reynolds' shenanigans in the past with other stations they've owned, I don't put much faith in that...I believe they still do. However, Mr. Chris and WKLF LLC is more than likely going to own this new radio station, once the dust has settled. Have a nice day!
