Connoisseur Media promotes Michael Banks to General Manager of its cluster in Frederick, MD, overseeing Country 99.9 WFRE and News/Talk 930 WFMD. Banks joined Connoisseur Media in 2016 as General Sales Manager in Long Island. He previously worked two years in Frederick as a General Manager when iHeartMedia held the stations in the Aloha Trust.

Michael Banks will over see the operations of WFRE and WFMD-FM.

Now, will WFMD(AM) get a translator like Manning's operations, or just concentrate on their stream/app? And it's probably a good idea to get a legal ID back on WFRE HD2 (WFMD simulcast).

After the fight WARK had to get their 106.3 translator as a Frederick rim-shot I doubt there's anywhere left for a new translator.

Agreed. The Aloha Trust wasn't going to invest in a translator for WFMD and now it doesn't appear that there are any frequencies left to plug a new translator in, even if an FCC window were to open. WTHU is chugging along with Oldies and they never got a translator either. At least WFMD is on FRE's HD 2.
