Content From WINS, WCBS AM and WFAN to be Used on New WCBS TV Subchannel

The NY Daily News is reporting that TV channel 2 in New York will finally have an HD subchannel, like most of its competitors. It will offer an hourly news/information wheel, apparently somewhat like one of the all news channels. The channel is expected to be up by the end of the year.
According to the article, content from the 2 CBS all news radio stations, and sports WFAN will be used. The article did not make it clear how the radio content will be utilized on the visual medium of television. But this certainly seems to provide many opportunities for cross promotion.

Think a video version of WINS or WCBS-AM? With sports at :15/:45 after the hour to boot?

It's expensive enough to operate one all-news station in Market No. 1, let alone two. I'd have to think that in the beginning at least, the model will be a news/information wheel during morning and afternoon drive during the week. The rest of the time? It'll be a simulcast of "Joe and Evan" and all of the other talk shows from WFAN - and why not, their morning and afternoon shows are simulcast...

I always thought a Joe and Evan simulcast would make perfect sense for SNY. They're both Met/Jet fans, plus Joe already makes regular appearances on SNY's Daily News Live. And it would be kinda funny to have all 3 daytime shows simulcast on 3 different channels.
