New Hampshire Conway Daily Sun publisher asks new WMWV owner to stop airing their stories without compensation

I read that article. Didn't help the cause of either the Conway Sun Owner, or the new owner of WMWV very well. It seemed kind of petty to me, IMHO. The Conway Sun should be more appreciative of the free exposure they are getting on local radio during peak listenership, as it sounds like WMWV is giving the appropriate credit to the source of the news briefs, the Sun seemed OK with this same arrangement under the prior ownership.

the Sun seemed OK with this same arrangement under the prior ownership.
That's irrelevant. The new owner has no obligation to maintain any prior agreements if he believes it is no longer in his best interests.

With the state of local newspapers today, I don't blame them for trying to find additional revenues.

It's irrelevant in that there's not much the Conway Sun can do, as long as the radio station is playing ball and doing the right things by crediting the source of the stories.. Most news heard on local commercial radio is rehashed from AP, TV Stations, or local papers, and it's properly credited. Hear it all the time. Isn't there value for mentioning the name "Conway Daily Sun" on their airwaves?? With all the build up in that petty story, the finale was that the Conway Sun owner said he would not pursue it in court.
