Cornerstone announced this week that, after Thanksgiving, it will shut down the WaYfm format that it carries throughout West Michigan (on stations in Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Benton Harbor) in favor of new simulcasts of WCSG. What will be interesting to see is whether Cornerstone will keep the simulcast in Grand Rapids for the long term, since that's where WCSG is. Also, while one of the reasons for the dropping of WaYfm is apparently economic, there supposedly will be no layoffs--and Cornerstone's other radio ministries (Mission Network News and His Kids Radio) may not be affected.
