"Cougar 2200"/Nathional Panasonic RF-2200

What is the difference between a Panasonic RF-2200 and a National Panasonic RF-2200/"Cougar 2200"? Is it that the FM covers 76-94 MHz and not 88-108 MHz? There are a few of the Cougar 2200's for sale at prices approaching $1000 that have been meticulously refurbished but they cover 76-94 MHz FM.
