Although WEZW-93.1 in southeast New Jersey (near where Hurricane Sandy made landfall, BTW) has already gone all-Christmas, I wonder if other stations in the Northeast, especially near the major impact zone, might do so earlier than they had earlier planned.
Some station managers may think that after the stress the region has gone thorough, going all-Christmas early might make their listeners feel better (although I personally think that all-Christmas for more than December 24th and 25th is overkill).
While I think that even without Sandy, we'll be seeing far more stations nationwide going all-Christmas on November 1st this year than last (last year, about a dozen stations were all-Christmas on November 1st, twice as many as in 2010; I think 50-60 or even more stations will be doing so this November 1st), I wonder if some stations in the mid-Atlantic corridor that were planning to flip in mid-November or after Thanksgiving might decide to do so in the next few days.
