Apparently theres hype that Tucker is going to be on Russian TV is why the reported story resurfaces again. Only this time How does Tucker do this that puts him at risk of Sanctions violations.

If he does it, he will have to register as a foreign agent, and will have to report any payment to the IRS.

Plus have to deal with protests by Ukrainian groups

That, and I don't think any cable system or satellite provider carries RT anymore. His audience will be overseas only.

Giving a little balance to this: The new administration touted the vaccine as being as preventing the disease and its contagion.

I was there the first day that anyone other than health care workers could get the first shot. So, I am not in denial or an objector.

But I was promised something that was not true. The vaccine did not do what my 50's polio shot did in that it did not prevent my getting COVID nor would it prevent me from passing it to others if I should get it.

As time went by, I learned that the vaccine reduced the chance of death if I got COVID. It did nothing else, and I felt that I had been given a big dose of hype. Had I known the real facts, I still would have been there the first day. But I believe I was lied to by the new administration and spokespersons like Fauci, who changed his narrative multiple times over the next two years.

As someone who has had malaria and dengue and a couple of other tropical diseases, I am a firm believer in vaccination, whether to reduce or avoid a disease. I am not a believer in government dialogue in this kind of situation.

The annual flu shot does not prevent the flu. It prevents some variants and avoids severe cases for others. The COVID shot should have been introduced in that context, and not as something that it was not. Going into year 2 of the pandemic, I felt that anything Fauci was saying was a lie and government propaganda, and looked elsewhere for truth.
If you got the shot the first day it was open to anyone other than health care workers, then whatever you heard did not come from the "new administration", since Trump was still president when the vaccine started rolling out to other than health care workers. I know this because I was able to start signing up on local vaccine wait lists about a week before Biden was sworn in.

That said, I don't blame Trump, Biden, Fauci, or anyone else for the perception that the vaccines would completely prevent disease. At the time, the experts told us that the vaccines were 95% effective at preventing symptoms, because that is how the trials were set up, but those experts did believe that the shots would likely prevent infection in most cases. And my recollection is that for about six months that seemed to be the reality.

Then the delta variant hit. It had mutated enough to partially evade existing immunity, whether from vaccination or prior infection. And Covid has been mutating ever since. Unfortunately, in those early days we did not know the extent to which the virus would mutate, nor the extent to which those mutations might evade existing immunity. The other thing that we've discovered since then is that immunity also does seem to fade with time, which is something else that was unknown in 2021.

I do remember the disappointment that came with that realization -- by the summer of 2021, most of us who had been vaccinated were looking forward to the return of normalcy, and until the middle of the summer it felt like we were getting closer. Then delta hit and that hope of normalcy was shattered. I don't blame the experts, because we simply did not know at that point.

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s new media company has officially signed its first advertising deal.

The agreement, worth at least $1 million, was reached with conservative-friendly shopping app Public Square, also known as PublicSq., on Friday, according to the app’s CEO, Michael Seifert.

Preliminary details of the agreement between Carlson’s new media company and PublicSq. were first reported by CNBC in July, just days before PublicSq. went public on the New York Stock Exchange. Carlson’s new company is named Last Country, according to The Wall Street Journal.

PublicSq. is the first of likely several other advertisers moving to partner with Carlson at a pivotal time in national politics, as the 2024 presidential election is just over a year away. The PublicSq. ads are set to air on Carlson’s show, which runs on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, starting in November and through the final months of next year’s campaign, according to Seifert.
