Could We See An Explosion Of Pirate Radio In Seattle?

Re: Could We See An Explosion Of Pirate Radio In Seattle? Don't think so.

Oh, don't worry your pretty little head over this, Larry. There might be one or two nutjobs who will try to start a pirate station in the NW but that's about it. After all, this ain't Miami...

Ummm...there's MORE pirate radio than you think (look especially in Bellingham and Olympia.) I'm talking about Seattle proper.....

There is another pirate around the industrial south Seattle area, circa South Park neighborhood and White Center (but down the hill, I think?) on 101.9.

Oh and as for the other guy, I think I was catching skip of your station in Wallingford near Gas Works today (VERY very weak).

To SeattleObserver, Thanks for the report! :) I really appreciate it. I am surprised that it made it there at all really, as my simple dipole antenna is blocked by several tall cement buildings in the direction of Gas Works. Now that the leaves on the tree are filling in, I am very tempted to add another dipole to the single element I have. I hope to get a community license (at the very least) and currently plan to leave my power output where it is (very low) until that process runs its course.

And to whomever mopped up the grimy mess that was stinking up this board yesterday- THANK YOU!
I do have a sarcastic sense of humor so the 'nutjob' comment didn't bother me at all. In fact I even embraced it as I said in my reply "Call me a nutjob then" (or something to that effect). And I am nuts! Nuts for an industry I love... like a lot of us here on this board. I sure hope we can all agree that we are all 'nuts' in this respect- It's a good thing.

Have a GREAT DAY!!! ;D
