Couple little tidbits

1. Michael Baisden loses a affiliate in Los Angeles. Oh sure, he'll still have NYC and Chicago, but Chi is a A Stick which means only NYC will have any meaning. I don't see him ever being carried in this town again, but one does wonder if the ABC Radio Network trust will sweet talk KHHT into running Baisden? Only thing about it, he'd be outta place musically(we're not just talking about UAC hits, he likes to play really obscure music) and the black talk might turn off the Latin core.

2. A Gospel program on a full stick Sunday Mornings. With V100 going/gone, there will be a void between 8a-12p for a Gospel show. Again, will Hot step up to the plate and add one? I could see this one as more likely, most of the Latin audience would probably be at church anyways at that time and it would make KHHT's black base happy.

Thoughts?

Number one is not happening on KHHT. Baisden has a nightly show on TVO so folks in Los Angeles can get him and watch that mess on TVO.

Number two could happen but probably will not happen. KHHT did run a syndicated gospel show Sunday mornings a few years ago but dropped it. And KPFK airs a popular gospel show on Sunday mornings.

Huh? Then what do you consider what KJLH does on Sunday? http://www.kjlhradio.com/02prog/gospel.htm
KJLH is all that is needed.

Hot has been rumored to go hip-hop against Power for a while which I certainly can see with Power growing. That would be a good move but it all may depend on what Bonneville does with 100.3. Clear Channel has never really invested much in Hot vs. their other FM's in L.A.. Movin could then move in on Hot's audience and might actually become something.

Uh dude, I stated BETWEEN 8AM-12PM Sundays. Do you know what KJLH airs at that time? Church Services! That is not the same as a music program. Yeah, after 12 they air Gospel, but for those driving in a car on the way to church on Sunday Mornings, there won't be a music program, unless you wanna hear some crunk rapper who ain't christian talking about bling.

Sigh, people always gotta read these damn posts wrong!
