Craig Ferguson to Be Replaced by James Corden as Host of ‘Late Late Show’

Another British guy! Hopefully he'll be as funny as Ferguson is (was). I hardly ever catch Ferguson as it's on at 12:37AM, but I'll miss those hilarious jokes, and puns - and Geoff/Secretariat as well.

I hope James Corden does not use rude expletives on the program if he were to host it. Craig Ferguson's frequent use of such expletives (including one in a front of a guest of his many residents in my area would recognize) was the reason I stopped watching the program on a regular basis back in the year 2006.

I hope he stays as loose as Craig was. I liked the fact that he wasn't a stuffed shirt, and often had the little French flag pop up and cover his mouth when he let slip a word that would offend the overly sensitive. In this day and age, people who get the vapors and go into a swoon when they encounter anything the least bit naughty must have an awful time of existing in society.

What the story doesn't say (probably because it's unofficial) is what company is producing this show. Does Letterman's company, Worldwide Pants, still have the slot, or was it opened to competing companies?

Worldwide Pants is walking away from Late Night & Late Late Show as soon as Dave does. CBS will be producing in house for both shows at first. Colbert may get some production leverage down the line if his show turns successful.
