Craiger Williams of WQIK headed to WEJZ for Afternoons

Craiger on CC's WQIK is headed to Renda's WEJZ in two weeks starting on September 24 according to AllAccess.com. Craiger is going to be the new afternoon drive host for WEJZ...this is intresting to make a jump from Country to AC....or what some how All Access is calling Hot AC for WEJZ....is Renda starting to upgrade and make improvements....as for Matt on Movin 100.7...its def Shotgun...trust me....sounds like him and the bio on Movin is about the same as it was on Rooster. Clear Channel is losing talent to Renda like hotcakes...and Renda is going to win soon or later because of this. Well I thought I would post the news. Later.
 
If what you are saying about Craiger is true (and I am not so sure about that) it would be a very good move for Renda and Craiger. Craiger is one of the good guys in the biz these days. He has the talent to fit on almost any format. There are very few out there anymore that can do that. His voice works well with Rock, Country, News talk and AC...just to mention a few. Unlike Rick Tracy or Briggs from that shell of a rock station Arrow, Craiger can fit the format...He has that talent. I am just wondering if this can really happen in the time frame you are talking about. Maybe you are correct...who knows. CC still has a strong stable of talent in the building. I don't see them losing much ground if any in the future. The WQIK morning team may very well be on the edge of becoming vulnerable in the ratings war, but I don't believe CC will let the the ratings slip too much without taking some programming action. As far as talent on Movin is concerned....like I said in an earlier post...Are you kidding?

I heard that Cariger was voicetracking, not live. CC stations use some voice trackers that are independent contractors. If that is the case with Craiger then he most likely would not have a non compete. Renda may have its issues but in Jacksonville it is considerably better than the alternatives - Cox and Clear Channel. I've heard him work AAA, Smooth Jazz and Country over the years. He can work any format.
 
...and so the Evil Empire's continued to crumble, and like the Roman senate they fell from within, of their own greed and avarice. The exodus of talent from Cox and CC will continue, and talented people like Craiger and Matt will be taken in by one of the few broadcast companies in the country that has NEVER sold a property - Renda. Gary Spurgeon and Chuck Beck have been around the block a few times, and themselves have come from the belly of The Beast. Just watch the Miller Kaplan's and see the Little Engine That Could pull away and bring the Empires down. WEJZ is in the midst of a Renaissance with one of the most solid staffs in town, ditto Gator Country which is a sleeping giant ready to awaken and shake up the mighty tower that is QIK. And Movin' is, well ... on the move at last. I can't to see the depths of desparation that Cox and CC will go to as they die a slow, agonizing death. The sight will be magnificent!
 
Ummmm....I usually refrain but...Renda has sold properties. If you ever bump into Mr Renda, ask him directly. He'll tell you. His minions won't, but he will. And as for the rest of this hilarity...

Renda isn't interested in taking anyone down, in fact it wouldn't actually behoove them. The only agenda is to stuff the goose of the family. Not Gary, not Chuck, not any of the crackpot staff.
 
Wow, moonshadow ... are the grapes THAT sour? Crackpot staff? Who hurt you?
 
As one of the “crackpot staff”, I would appreciate knowing some of the details surrounding the properties that Renda has sold.

Please enlighten us.
