Cumulus/Citadel to 92.1 & 102.3: You Are The Weakest Links, Goodbye!

In an earlier post I stated that Red 102.3 has been sounding great. it's great to know that there will be no changes....great staff. I feel the same about 92.1. Chris Tyler and Randy "Rock" Johnson have the station sounding great. Now...who's gonna take advantage of the "fire sale". If I were the owner of WLBR/WQIC, I'd seriously look at this property...and consider not touching the format or staff.

I can't imagine the folks at WLBR even thinking about buying it. They have very low overhead at their current properties and make a good deal of money. Besides that they gotta be in their hundreds by now. They haven't changed the decor in their facility in 60 years. They don't even have web-sites for christ's sake.

I do agree that TPA is sounding great. Problem is..on a weaker signal than 1057 the X, The River, and the Peak, it's going to be tough for them to be competitive over the long haul. Change will come by new ownership eventually.

'TPA has always had a weaker signal than The X, The River and The Peak. That's including when it was on 93.5. Granted, the signal's further away from town than it was when it was on 93.5, but, if it can get to the areas it needs, it should be fine. Of course, that's assuming the new owners want to keep it around.
