Cumulus moves Axel Lowe to mornings at 99X from Rock 100.5

Grats to Matt and Axel, both deserving of the promotion. PD stripes for Axel - did we miss what happened to BJ Kinard?

I was concerned about Axel and Erin when I read that Braves on 100.5 are doing very well, as are the Regular Guys, but all other dayparts aren't. I have a feeling they might finally bite the bullet and make the flip to FM sports like Toucher & Rich's station in Boston. They acquired the Hawks rights recently. It does seem like they have found a sustainable model with the microtransmitter for 99X, plus they did just buy that 99.1 stick. Outsider hypothesis.

Not a bad idea.... Regular Guys in the morning, 680 simulcast the rest of the day?
 
How has Axel's show been doing anyway? Mornings on 99x (in the state it's in now) just seems to be kind of mindless...though Axel seems to have more moxy to him than kinard did...I'm wondering if it's just going to be a "SHOW" vs announcing songs and traffic.
