Cumulus national country brand... Bad news for KSCS or The Wolf?

I read on Radio Insight that Cumulus will possibly be starting it's own national brand of country stations called Nash FM, Nash Radio or Nash Country based on the domain names that have been registered.

http://radioinsight.com/blog/headlines/netgnomes/79538/is-cumulus-planning-a-national-country-brand/

What does this mean for our local country stations The Wolf and KSCS? From reading previous posts on how Cumulus likes to do things as cheap as possible, does anyone here think they will change anything? I personally don't see them re-branding either station, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they went with automation for overnights and some day parts on both stations.

I thought they already were running syndication or automated programming after 7 on The Wolf.

Personally, I don't see either of them switching to Nash FM, though I could see some of the smaller market and more poorly rated stations doing it.

"The Wolf" was originally meant as rebranding back in the 90s. Was it bad for KPLX?

Typically, these are things that are more aimed at smaller market stations, of which Cumulus has hundreds.

Been there, done that. KLIF: October 2008-July 2009.

Now...How about you? Ever been in the Top 20 in Market 5 Superstar? (Any format?)

Yep. Top 5 in music radio in one top 10 market and top 10 in talk radio in another top 10 market. Didn't realize you actually hit top 20 @ KLIF.

Outstanding Achievements Long Time....Sincerely, Congratulations, my friend....

And yeah, no one knows about what we did at KLIF....except for the listeners. (For Whom I count my blessings every day.)

The Wells Report scored its highest ratings (so far) right at the time KLIF needed them most, when DFW swtiched over to PPM from the Diary Method. They were the highest PM Drive ratings the station had in over a decade....

There was no contract extension, no bonuses....In fact, no one in KLIF management bothered to even say thank you.

(Which probably explains why I'm such a hard-&@% about people crapping on my credibility here.)

Again, Sincere Congratulations, Long Time....
