Cumulus Promotes Troy Hanson To VP of Corporate Programming For Rock Formats

https://radioinsight.com/headlines/...nt-of-corporate-programming-for-rock-formats/

Cumulus Media has announced the promotion of Troy Hanson to Vice President of Corporate Programming for Rock Formats.

The promotion adds oversight of Cumulus’ Classic Rock stations to Hanson’s previous role as VP/Rock Programming overseeing the company’s Active Rock and Alternative stations. He will continue in his other roles as VP/Operations for the company’s Chicago cluster and Program Director of Alternative 101.1 WKQX Chicago. Hanson joined Cumulus as PD of “Rock 100.5” WNNX Atlanta and VP/Rock Programming in 2013 and moved to WKQX in 2015. Prior to joining Cumulus, Hanson was Operations Manager of Cromwell’s Nashville and programmed in Duluth, Saginaw, Milwaukee, Des Moines, Detroit and Miami.

As mentioned here the question for the new leader for Rock Format programming will be is how will they lower the demos. I remember in past threads showing how rock is now skewing older audiences.
