Curtis Sliwa on KABC...is a Syndie deal coming?

When I looked on KABC's website and say Curtis Sliwa from 11:00am-11:45am, I couldn't help but think if Citadel is going to syndicate him. I really like Curtis, and I have already heard speculations that he will be syndicated.
 
Sliwa is only filling in. Al Rantel will return when he is better. Al is already doing cameos on the morning show.
 
What does Los Angeles think of Curtis Sliwa and his radio style???
 
I'm in Orange County but a New Jersey native so heavy east coast accents like Sliwa's don't bother me, in fact I dig it. He's a real New Yawker with strong opinions.
 
Hes actually funny when he doesnt try to be funny. I actually dont mind the accent. But this is LA not NY, who cares whats going on in Times Square! I could understand it if it was a syndicated show, but this only on in LA! Just my thoughts.
 
But would he work as a syndicated show?? Are some talents just too localized??? When Lynn Samuels was on WABC I heard lots of folks say, "Only in New York." What do you left coasters think???
 
Sliwa's schtick gets annoying after the third day. Dont know if I could stomach it more than that. No matter what the topic of the day, he'll always come back to how he's the founder of the Gaurdian Angels and how the mob had a hit on him. He's a typical talk show host...ME ME ME!
 
Is Curtis still doing the KABC Show every day??? He is on WABC at 5AM and then again at 10AM in the old John Gambling position. Right now he sandwiches IMUS who took his morning show away. He must really be the Energizer Bunny!!

My thoughts exactly! I think this decision was made by the suits in Nevada.
