New station for Communicorp in Czech Republic Press Release
Communicorp (www.communicorp.ie), one of Europe’s largest radio groups, today announced the acquisition of Radio Twist in Prague.
Twist broadcasts at 96.2 on the FM band, with a potential listening audience in excess of 1.5 million people.
Communicorp General Manager for the Czech Republic Andrew Dower said the new station gives Communicorp 5 stations in Prague, and a total of 12 stations across the country broadcasting through 37 frequencies.
The existing station broadcasts programming from Slovakia, but will be relaunched with a locally-produced program from January 1, 2007, and renamed Radio Spin.
With Radio Twist Communicorp now has 36 stations broadcasting in 7 countries across Europe
