Dale Dorman, Air Check, WVBF "F-105", January 1979

After leaving WRKO, but just before landing at Kiss 108, I was very surprised to come across this air check! Dale Dorman actually had a short stint at Top 40, F-105, who knew?

Great music that year! It's interesting that the only rock tune is My Life by Billy Joel.

I saw him during The Walk For Hunger, when Kiss 108 was still broadcasting on location back then. I also ŕemember Dale touting on the air "walking" songs as well.

Speaking of The Rose Royse, and F-105. I have to admit they their radio campaign of having people write individual signs advertising the station with that vehicle was just brilliant!

That year, during the St. Patrick's Day Parade, knowing that they were strong with the female demographic. Just ahead of them giving away the free cash, they had a car directly in front of them throwing out roses! Guess who missed out on getting the cash, as a result? LOL!

I remember Dale's playing "Baker Street" at Oldies 103 and noting that it was the first song he had played in stereo.

Dale owned that Rolls. He had two at one time and ran a limo business on the side. When he was the driver for a wedding or similar event if asked he would deny that he was Dale Doorman if asked.
