Dallas' 105.3 The Fan, heard in South Alabama

I am not a DX'er, but I do have an MP3 player with an FM radio. I turned it on outside of my home in Monroe County, AL half expecting to hear very weak reception of WBFZ 105.3 Selma (in some ongoing FCC licensing limbo, you may not be able to find any official info for it). Instead...I hear a Texas A&M football broadcast, their first SEC game versus the the Florida Gators.

I haven't heard station identification yet, but it almost has to be Dallas sports radio station KRLD 105.3 "The Fan". Neat catch.

Apologies everyone...I actually went to my car stereo just to double check, and apparently...the station I'm hearing is WBFZ 105.3, Selma. I am dumbfounded as to how or why it became the newest affiliate for Aggie sports, but...sure enough I've heard WBFZ sounders and watched its usual RDS information come through.

^ I caught KERA-TV (RF ch 14 UHF) Dallas from South Florida in June! So don't count anything out.

Also caught 103.3 ESPN serving DFW via meteor scatter about 8 months ago.

You never know.

Too bad, I was getting set to write a verification of your report LOL.
105.3 The Fan (KRLD-FM Dallas) gets quite a few reception reports during Tropo and E-Skip events. With the MUF on the rise I expect we will get more as the cycle progresses. Since we run 97kw E.R.P. at 574m HAAT we tend to get out pretty good ;D
