DALLAS COWBOYS RADIO BROADCASTS COMING TO KTCK AND KDBN

Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket and 93.3 The Bone
The New Flagship Stations of the Dallas Cowboys

PRESS RELEASE

March 6, 2006
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DALLAS—Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket and 93.3 The Bone have entered into a partnership with the Dallas Cowboys Radio Flagship stations and will broadcast all Dallas Cowboys Football games exclusively, starting with the 2006 season. The 2006 season will be the first of a five year agreement.

"This is a significant day for our organization," said Cowboys Owner and General Manager Jerry Jones. "The Ticket has had a dramatic impact on the sporting culture of North Texas. They have created a powerful voice that makes a difference. This is a relationship that adds a significant media partner to the Dallas Cowboys corporate family--one that has set the bar nationally for local sports talk radio. The Ticket and 93.3 the Bone will allow us to reach all of our fans with a sense of urgency and style."

Sportsradio 1310 the Ticket, a live and local sports-talk station located in Dallas, Texas, guarantees big name guests and breaking sports news first. Nominated for Sportsradio Station of the Year by ESPN for five consecutive years, the Ticket can be found on the dial at 1310am and 104.1fm.

93.3 The Bone Rocks Harder with Van Halen, AC/DC, Metallica, Pink Floyd and the rest of the best! Along with free concerts, a constant forum for area US Troops and helping those in need throughout the community, 93.3 The Bone has created a true "Bonehead Nation" that loves to live and rock harder! The Bone can be heard at 93.3 on the FM dial.

Looks like The Bone now could quite possibly survive longer than most on here would like.

Good - I'm glad for them. Nobody gives the Cowboys more loving than The Ticket.

Citadel making a big positive move already. I guess all the experts that predicted on here how Citadel would screw things up got it wrong :)

You must mean Citadel's positive move is passing on the Cowboys.

Cumulus owns The Ticket and The Bone.

Welp, I told everyone so...I had a feeling the ticket would pick up the games.

Re: DALLAS COWBOYS RADIO BROADCASTS COMING TO KT CK AND DB

With the way the Ticket has beat up on Jerry over the years this will be a wonderful listener train wreck. Jerry said there would be no changes in the broadcast crew but there would be changes to make it more "entertaining."

This may get very interesting.

Re: DALLAS COWBOYS RADIO BROADCASTS COMING TO KT CK AND DB

This makes for an interesting combination, of the TICKET and the BONE... first off, those on here, including myself, thought that Clear Channel would have an inside track to this, for one year on KZPS until Jerry would buy his own station and turn it into the COWBOYS STATION... although.. this is a good move. I little bit shacky on the part that 1310 is low power at 5K during the day and lower at night.. the Bone will pick up the slack for that low power...

The other thing now is-- when the Cowboys and the Rough Riders have a conflict in August-- will one station pick just pick up the Cowboys and leave the Rough Riders on 104.1-- just wondering... of course they could just stream it and leave the 'Riders at that.

I for one think that this is a terrific marriage, and more so than that, I think that with the Cowboys being the JEWEL that the TICKET has been seeking since they signed on 1994, this can only benefit them more as the LEADER for Sports Talk Radio--

Congratulations to Jeff Catlin-- and the rest of the staff and good luck to you all!

Just a thought!

What are the chances that they will take phone calls during the 4th quarter like they do during Desperados games? :)

Slambang was right in his prediction and it makes sense to ahve it on these two stations. Now if jeff k and scotty got their walking papers as well there will be dom perignon instead of andre champagne in the hallways of the stations.

With the new ownership (and presuming everything's on the table),
is a move to 570 now viable for KTCK?

Moving the games to 1700 wouldn't hurt my feelings a bit. I can't get 1310 after the power down and 93.3 isn't much better. I can hear 104.1 pretty well but 1700 would be ideal.

Re: Flipping The Ticket & KLIF....

As was suggested earlier, that makes perfect sense and might be part of the deal with the Cowboys. 570's signal covers much more of the DFW market than 1310 does, KLIF could simulcast on 1310 and The Ticket's FM signal and still pull their 1.8 and the Bone broadcast would just be a "throw-in" for FM listeners for the Cowboy games.

Where does 1700 fit in all of this?

My guess is it would simulcast KLIF if they went to 1310. ???
