Dallas Press Club still in the news

It appears that the last two Katie awards were rigged, at least according to a story by Joshua Benton in today's Dallas Morning News. Here's a link to the story:

The sad thing is that all of the money from the contest entries is probably gone, and even if the Press Club wanted to refund entry fees for the last two years, they probably would not be able to.

One wonders at the future of the Katies, and the DPC.

On a related note: Does anyone have the results from the Texas AP Broadcasters contest for this year? I understand those were just awarded.

Albernathy claims mental illness as the reason for her behavior. Why is it nowadays everyone wants to claim mental illness as the reason when chances are she's just a Thief with no values.

If you did something that would kill your career and alienate you from most of your friends and could get out of it by playing the "crazy card", wouldn't you? Providing you are the dishonest type to begin with!
