Dallas Radio Veteran Wayne Scott Nevius (Scott West) Has Passed On.

yeah, this belongs in the "In Memoriam" section, but this was sad news that the Russ Martin Show crew broke on Tuesday, that's where i heard of Scott's passing, the man did do voiceovers as well as traffic for Total Traffic Network and news at KRLD right before he passed. in fact, he often made regular visits to the Russ Martin Show when Russ was still alive and in the studio, they were friends and long time familiar voices in DFW radio. he will be missed not only in DFW radio, but also will be missed in the RMS treehouse. God Speed Scott, you were the man with the golden voice.

also, not to mention, he had to cover Russ' death while working at KRLD the Saturday night of February 28, the day when the news broke that Russ died the day before.

I only remember him doing top-of-the-hour news on KRLD. Normally I think outside of the usual weekday nonstop news from 5a-8p.

I used to listen to him when he did afternoons on K104. He will be missed.
Yes his afternoon show was the bomb. But he was great in mornings on KNOK. I remember when Warner Cable had Video Radio and KNOK simulcasted their morning show on a local access channel. That is where I first saw Scott.
