Dallas: Texas Theatre screenings of 'Dallas' stopped by Warner Bros.

http://blogs.dallasobserver.com/mixmaster/2011/05/warner_bros_tells_texas_theatr.php

Yes, that imfamous theatre where Lee Harvey Oswald was found...the theatre has been open off/on thru the years, but it has only been showing regular screenings and live events for the last couple of years or so. Late in March, the management decided to start showing screenings of Dallas twice (2 eps) each Sunday night, free admission. People coming to see the screenings have been dressing up as various characters from the show, and most screenings have had a 'host' that had been on the series or had something to do with it. A few weeks ago, Larry Hagman and Linda Gray both came to be hosts (http://blogs.dallasobserver.com/unfairpark/2011/04/did_jr_and_sue_ellen_ewing_sho.php). Warner Bros. found out, and have told the Texas to end the screenings. The theatre says that fans are upset, and management would like to come up with a way to resume the screenings, yet smooth everything over with the studio, but nothing has been worked out as of yet.

If they're not charging admission, what's the problem?

According to the article, the people involved in the show aren't getting paid royalties as a result of the screenings.
