Dan Frishberg now charged by the SEC - what does this mean for his show on Salem

From the front page of Radio-Info.com:

BizRadio Houston host Daniel Frishberg settles with the SEC, will pay $65,000

"That money will go to the "harmed investors", with the Securities & Exchange Commission alleging that "Daniel Frishberg Financial Services (DFFS) advised clients to invest in notes issued by Business Radio Networks (BizRadio), a media company founded by Frishberg where he hosts his own show under the nickname 'The MoneyMan.'"

"It says "Frishberg failed to tell his clients about BizRadio's poor financial condition or his significant conflicts of interest with the note offerings that helped fund his salary at BizRadio." Frishberg neither admitted nor denied the SEC's allegations, but he consented to a deal that bars him from "association with any investment adviser or certain other registered entities." Read the SEC release here. The Houston Board of Radio-Info.com is talking about Frishberg here."

You're wasting your time, Tony.

It's a spam message. The guy comes on once in a while, posts the same message in like 25 different markets bashing Salem, trying to promote his blog.

Nah, I disagree with the spam aspect. Several interested parties (like me, an ex-Biz employee) have been following this for a few years. Chuck's the only source who's been tracking this travesty closely. I'm just shocked at how little the SEC accepted as penalty. Had it been me in his place, I would have been publicly hanged. Sad part is, Frish will be back on the air Monday morning, courting some unwitting investor who doesn't read the news. Dan Frishberg, the Robert Tilton of investments.

barring from "association with" doesn't seem to cover the case of "being one"...this wording is strange and would seem to not bar DF from being an advisor, just from associating with other entities.

Let me rephrase that...I didn't mean spam as in a junk message. I meant it as in he's just sending out mass posts and not checking back for conversation.

Was just a drive by post.

Actually it was much more than just a drive by post...but I do appreciate you opinion. I am interested in Dan's connection with Salem and wonder why Salem taints their reputation with someone who has scammed folks to the tune of $11 million. Any suggestions why?
