Dan Yorke is RUDE to women and should be boycutted.

Hi, I am a big radio fan, but not in your business.
Last night I called the York show 3 times. It was about the ice-snow storm. I was treated rudely, very rudely! Told to call back, Hung up on, and then told , when I pressed the strange guy answering the phone, he told me I sounded too old!
I'm 45! Thats the hosts age too!
What kind of people are they over there?
They knew I was calling to tell people 295 North of Johnston was dangerous.
What a creepy show atmosphere.

On the other hand, I called John Depetro show today. I was treated kindly, put on hold, 15 minutes later, I was on and treated well by the host.
Yorkes show got me so angry, I am not going to listen, if I can help it and I am boycutting their sponsers.
I have heard MANY reports of Mr Yorke NOT ALLOWING Seniors to call, now I know FIRST HAND.
Well, WHO THE HELL DOES HE THINK HE IS!
I'm done with Dan Yorke!

Why, when I see "boycotted" spelled "boycutted" do I immediately think of John Wayne Bobbitt and (his former) wife Lorena?

It's no surprise Yorke is a "TOOL" when it come to old people. He has this disrespectful opinion of them. He doesn't want them to call, he doesn't want them to drive and I don't think he even cares if they are alive. He claims that they slow the show down which is why he discriminates.

Unfortunately Dan doesn't realize that it's tough to slow his show down any more than it already is. So I pretty much stopped listening on a regular basis. Trust me Dan. Your show is already SLOOOOWWW. Seniors arn't going to kill something that already sounds dead.

Don't try to defend yourself with Ratings either. You happen to be on a strong station with no competition in the market. A four hour EBS Test on WPRO would get the same rating. I Love how all these people claim that they have the number one rating and would like for us to think that must mean they are a good host. When you are in a one person race.... do you really feel that you've won when you cross the finish line? Go to another city where there is actually some competition and watch how fast you get trampled on.
 
Yorke is the only Rhode Island host I know of who will not speak to anyone who doesn't have a young voice.
WPRO needs input on this matter.

to be excoriated on this.

Were there not some allegations, by the talk host that is now on at 9 a.m. about the aforementioned host and domestic problems?????
 
i agree that its not right to discriminate..... however i dont think boycottin will do any good... all the york bashing that goes on here.. yet hes been at wpro now for almost 8 yrs now... so that must account for something... i listined to him last night and thought he was actually good.... him and matty stayed on the air till 8 last night..... keepin drivers informed.. he got me home quicker.. with the hepl of all the callers
 
i'm no fan of yorke's and really don't get the Depetro phenom but i'd be hard pressed to find a more agenda sounding post. hey i listen to this kind of radio for the same reason i look at a carwreck: the horror, the human drama and there but for the grace of god go i. But the car wreck thats coming between these two egos hasn't been matched since steve white walked in one door and sherm walked out the other. please don't boycott, throw a little more ice on then road

I was discriminated by his show. I am a 45 year old FEMALE.
He does the same thing to the Older people.
I want to treat him the way he treated me.

enough people have said yorke does inforce the age limit rule that i'm sure it's true at this point and all the more reason that he's starting to give me the creeps. which is probably why i'll keep listening. i applaud anyone who actually gets mad enough about something and then speaks out. i was right behind you too until we had to have someone who's be back on the air for 1 day show us how it should be done.
 
not to sound rude or anything liike i said in an earlier post hes been doing this for as long as i can remember and hes been there a long time now... i think if it were a major problem managment would have stepped in.... because im sure in his almost 8 yrs there..... managment has had theres complaints before.... its just dans prephrance and its is show....he can do what he wants weather we think its right or wrong......
 
Ironically, I have always found Yorke to have much more in common with the elderly he seems to loathe, than with those "young voices" he vies for.

What "hip" and "youthful" sounding host says things like "Good Lordy Loo". THAT is as about as old-farty as it gets.

Yorke sucks. I do not refer to his ideology or his political leanings, rather his manner and approach to a show.
 
Dan Yorke, LUCKEST HOST THAT EVER LIVED!

If Arlene didn't turn into a WACKO 4 years ago, Yorke would be gone by now!
Since Wednesday, I have NOT listened to Mr. PERFECT.
I couldn't be happier.
