All Urban Gospel? Is there no Southern Gospel in Selma?

Outside of a block on Sunday Mornings, on (Con)Fuzion 100.1 FM, no.

Want to establish my own LPFM radio station but I have no plans of doing SG.

This market wouldn't be too friendly to that format anyway.

CCM would be a better pick for me.

P.S. Unlike Panama City, Urban is king around here.  We have many outlets for the Urban and it's Gospel counterpart on our dial.  Not just here in Selma but we get several rimshot stations from the surrounding areas, that cater to this profitable format.  SG isn't too popular around here.  Outside of WMGY AM 800 from Montgomery, WBIB AM 1110 Centreville/Brent and the famous WKLF AM 980 from Clanton, no other radio station in this market does SG on a daily basis.  Sorry about that sir.

B.T.W. Now back to the topic at hand, I don't see this new Urban Gospel format working too well in PCB but hey what do I know.  It might just prove to be a successful format, for that radio station, once they get everything established and running.

It may not matter if there is much ad revenue from the market itself, if the bills are covered by preachers liking to hear their own voices. Alan, I am sure your friend has a plan in place and is thoroughly aware of the landscape. You can't walk into PCB without a good roadmap. I wish him well.
