A discussion on the merits of each album is futile. Instead, let’s mess with her. I urge all of you to vote for the following albums as the best of the last 30 years:

Alanis Morissette "Jagged Little Pill"
Def Leppard “Hysteria”
Huey Lewis & the News “Sports”
Madonna “Like a Virgin”
Rush “Moving Pictures”

Remember, if these albums win, DAVE will have to play them. Imagine Margot saying, “Dave-FM listeners voted Madonna as the best album of the past 30 years.” What a frickin hoot. Besides all the boardies and lurkers we will need some help. I implore all of you to email this link (http://929davefm.listenernetwork.com/DoSurvey.asp?SurveyScheduleID=22162) to all your email contacts and have them vote for those albums too. Forget the political elections, this is an election that we can control, that’s the Chicago way.

You probably don't want to put a lot of time and effort into that, Neil. I doubt there's anything in the rules that says the station can't lie about the results. If those songs won, there's no way listeners would be told about it.

Actually, people that are in Dave's "Friends of Dave" program were asked to submit their Top 10 biggest albums of the last 30 years. The 80 or so that were listed in which to vote on were the most common responses from all the listeners Top 10. So, the listeners must not be in touch with themselves, since that is where the list came from.

Also, there was no definintion as to what biggest meant, probably on purpose. So, it could have been interpreted as favorite, best, most influential, or any number of other possiblities.

Not to mention, I think they are prepared to play whatever wins. It's basically free research.
