Dave FM cuts Jimmy Baron and Yvonne Monet. Steve Craig interim morning host

Ah-HA! I knew there was something big coming down when Steve was moving back here.

Time will tell. I'll listen to him, though. Maybe DAVE will let Steve be Steve?
 
If they like him (Steve)in this market, why didn't they keep him? Of course, I am bordering on bitter, being out of work right now after PPM success at my station AND 12 years.
 
I hope for the sake of the one air staff that Dave does not go the 106.7 "branding route". Try saying 92.9 WZGC Dave FM quickly. Roddy Freeman's blog mentions of a curse on this station. I have figured it out: try to say WZGC quickly, impossible to do after 2 or 3 drinks. This would make a good roadside test when the cops pull you over thinking you are a drunk driver:

POLICEMAN: Whats that on your radio.

DRUNK DRIVER: WCGZ, no wait WZZG, no wait WZGZ. Please! cut me a little slack. It stopped on scan.

POLICEMAN: You are under arrest. Get in the back of the car. You are charged with having a radio station playing in your car you can not pronounce the call letters.
 
Is Jimmy off to 106.7, 97.1, or 96.1?

I made an err in an earlier version of my story yesterday. Crash Clark was not let go so I presumed he would stay at Dave. For now, he will only work for V-103. Renee Washington took over this morning for Craig's show. Morning producer Jeremy "Fat Kid" Powell was not cut but I'm not sure what he will be doing.

I was a little shocked at Jimmy's dismissal being that he sat in one morning on 11 Alive's Morning Show. I guess it is hard to recreate Barnes, Leslie, & Jimmy. Now this leave Leslie as the only one from that show not to be fired from Dave's Morning Show.

IIRC, Z-93 was the sponsor of General Cinema's midnight movies back in the day, then 94Q was. 94Q may have become the sponsor after GCC sold off Z-93.

GCC also owned ATL's Pepsi bottler (along with Pepsi bottlers in other cities), essentially making every other theater chain a Coke customer. GCC got busted selling Pepsi as Coke, to customers that asked for Coke. That was the beginning of "Is Pepsi OK?".
 
They are just waiting for Kate McCarthy's non-compete to be up. Then get ready for Steve and Kate in the Morning.
