I loved this show!
The fun part of the show was the host talking about the fictitious staff of the Diner. There was the cook "Sal from Manila", the waitress "Earline", "Officer Mahoney" who guarded the donuts and dishwasher "Paula Molive".
I searched the internet for audio clips from this show. No luck. Then I located the host Dave Sanders himself on Facebook, and reached out hoping for some clips. I was thrilled when he responded. But he unbelievably said he didn't have any Clips/Airchecks from the show. I asked if he could re-create some airchecks .... like, just doing the old bit of introducing the staff. He said he'd be happy to do that and send it to me as an MP3.
But now over six months have gone by with nothing. I already wrote back a couple of times so I have to let go of the idea I will ever see these.
But as I am not one to let go of an idea so easily, I re-created a bunch of Airchecks for Dave's Diner using AI (luckily I had a short sample of his voice). I will happily share these with anyone interested (Dropbox), although due to the lack of info on this show, I am starting to believe I am the only person who loved that schtick.
