Don't forget the all bus schedule and obituary notice format station, in raposa-infested ... er, where was that pisshole, again?
It is not a "pisshole" and it is the republic of Ecuador.
Prior to the extending of phones to rural areas and the installation or rural cellular service, radio stations performed a most valuable service by being the telphone, telegraph and community notice source for widespread areas of the nation.
In many cases, radio was the only way to let folks on an hacienda or rural farm know about the passing of a relative, the changes in public transportation, the arrival of new merchandise at the stores, the birth of children and such.
In other words, a far cry from "the station that picks you up and never lets you down all day at work."
Raposas are a jungle rodent, indigenous to the entire Amazon rain forrest. They are also fairly good eating. Yep, tastes like chicken.
But, you did not want this explanation. You wanted to make fun of a radio station that provided a real public service. And that just sucks and you know it.
