David Lankford known as Smokey Burns-WRIE Erie, PA

Now that name is a blast from the past. I have a gold record hanging to my right, with Smokey's name on it, along with WRIE. I loved that station in its hey day, and loved working there.

I hope some of the great names posted here, turn up.
 
David (Smokey) may have gone to Jacksonville about 1983. Know he worked at WMGK in Philly from 1980-1983. Not sure if he used his real name or an air name in Philly. Worked in Davenport Iowa before coming to Erie at WRIE in 1974.
 
Are you talking about David "Craig" Lankford..if so, He's in St.Louis and presently un-employed. He spent a lot of time in mornings at WIL and most recently, KLOU.
 
Turns out, a fellow mobile entertainer (Dodie) works at KLOU. He gave me David's cell # and hopefully David will return the call. May be tough to remember me after 24+ years, lol. Dodie tells me that David worked in Philadelphia, so "David Craig" is David Lankford.
