Daytime (1:45p PST) on 990: 181 miles, 16.4 WATTS (!) ERP (5kW DA, in null)

Here's some midday reception on 990 - how's this for 16.4 watts (ERP) at 181 miles on a BAREFOOT(!) Sony SRF-59 and Tecsun PL-606? ;)

Oh, btw, this was recorded at 32.79485 -117.2563. Looking at a map should reveal that the ground conductivity is a bit better than some place like Long Island, for example. ;)

I suspect that better midday groundwave DX (farther, lower power, better signal, less sensitive radio, etc) may be possible, is it?
