Dean Goss is filling in for Dan Taylor this morning on WCBS-FM

This morning I heard the unfamiliar voice of Dean Goss filling in for Dan Taylor on WCBS-FM. Usually when Dan goes on vacation Sue O'Neill, Jay Sorensen or Ron Parker fills in. I googled "Dean Goss" and found his web site http://www.gossradio.com/. He does have an impressive resume doing morning drive in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Has he worked in NYC before?

Bruce

I am familiar with Goss through his work on the coast (through airchecks of San Diego and LA stations). He is a very versatile personality who can do tight formats as well as longer Zoo type morning shows. A pretty talented air personality-hope that this is the start of a relationship with CBS-FM and I hope to catch his next shift.

Dean is my FB friend :) I never heard his voice, at least I don't remember, I think he worked on a radio station in Calif, I used to listen while out there. He sounded Great this morning!!! I liked his voice. I had the pleasure of meeting him the other night at the San Gennaro Feast which Joe Causi introduced him on stage. I got to speak to him :) He was very very polite, I welcomed him to the Big Apple and told him he brought Calif weather with him. I hope he has a fun time seeing old friends at wcbsfm. Enjoy your stay Dean and rock the Airways!!!!

Also as I said hearing Dean was great, but I know other times Ron Parker and Sue O'Neal would fill in, I would have loved to hear them, Here are two great personalities, great voices and they live close, I am thinking because Dean was visiting from Calif, He wanted to try the Big Apple station WCBSFM!! I don't blame him, if I was a DJ, love to be on WCBSFM :) I miss DT and hope he gets back safe soon!!!

Yes his website says it all http://www.gossradio.com he's heard on a station in San Diego called The Walrus but not daily. I'm a big fan of his KFRC San Francisco days. I'm West Coast so I couldn't hear him, but I'm sure he kicked it in New York.

He did very well in the week he filled in for Dan Taylor. It was obvious that he know morning drive radio very well and fit in with the WCBS-FM format.

On Dean's facebook page it says by the end of his fill in week he was # 3 How would he know and how would that be determined in one week? Just curious

Domino - welcome to the new world of PPM with Arbitron. You can get the ratings for the week and the day of the week and hour. With PPM you can also find out when people tune in or out - like when commercials play, when a song plays, and when you do a bad break! Welcome to the world of electronic measurement. Just as TV has been doing for years.
