Debra Capps, Love In the Morning, 103.3 Earth FM WRTH Greenville, SC

Hi everyone! I currently work with Bill Love as the morning show co-host for Earth FM WRTH in Greenville, SC. I come from a theatre/tv/film background and am pretty new to radio. Although - my first job ever was doing a little weekend radio shift in a tiny little town in GA where I was only 15 years old. It was a classic hits station... so I constantly had to check on pronunciations on artists & songs! :)

I'm glad to be joining the radio community... and as I was just introduced to this site - I look forward to reading the comments and discussions of those of you with a heck of a lot more experience than me! It's a fun world to play in!

Debra Capps

Well,...the Flu or the Meezzzzzles doesn't appear to be the big hold back here, but I,...Dr. Lesley detect an egodemic of Acute Snooooooniness. I'll give this Morning Team their due credit. Plagued by poor coverage, the station still beat MY 102 in 12+, and yes, that can happen! Bill & Debra have great chemistry, with TOMA..."Top Of the Mind Awareness" fueling their colorful banter. This is is how Good Air Talent Radio works, and always will!
More later, and yes, I will have some Negatives. So, have yourself a Consultant Free, Super Bowl, rest of the Broadcast Day!

Please don't have any negatives

I think they are both very good on air and really would rather not hear any negatives about any of the talent in any of these markets. Sure you're entitled to say whatever, but why? When it doesn't do any good, is it really ever helpful? Just wish everyone the best and lets be friends. We all love radio (I think) - so letgs support each other.

Debra & Bill are very good & we all have negatives. Pointing them out in a public forum like this never does anyone any good.

PS: And I dont work at Earth - I am very much their competition. Best to all.

Unregistered Guest, reading your post is like watchin' The Waltons,...I've lost my craving for Sweets! For the Love Vinyl, and Alot of it, why don't we all hold hands, and sing Koom-By-Ya! I didn't say Negatives about the Morning show....It's Works! The Negatives are Formatic blunders, that should be fixed, if the owners want it to last. I have been there, Lived through it, Can smell it, have the T-shirt, and the Green Jacket. The Negatives will follow,....after I come-to from this diabetic coma!

Thanks for the comment! You know, I truly feel there is room enough for all of us to succeed! Thanks for the kind support... I definitely support the radio community as a whole. We want Greenville to grow enough to support us all!

Even my redneck-to-English translating dictionary doesn't offer a translation of "snoooooniness"... (Poor Debra.)

Dr. Lesley is full of words I don't yet know! But, "egodemic" was a creative coining of phrase! Now... I'm also at a loss about "snoooooniness." Somehow, I feel this was the "negative" he was promising. But I still love ya, Scooter!

Well,...before I get inta anything Funny, it would behoooooove y'all to go empty your bladders. Snooooooooiness, truthfully, is not a word, yet a typo by yours truly, with "Snooooooodiness" intended. Of coarse, anything that I post, always seems to confuse JethroM or JethreneM, if he's went transgender too!

First off, there is no negative for the on-air delivery of Bill, Debra, and Lee Alexander. What they do clearly works! The first negative is no Live 7p-12M. I realize that this is probably listed as a budget issue, but it should not be such. Voice tracking clearly limits the TSL. You might get away with it Overnights, but Evenings is in need of a human. More later...

Enuff of this Trans-Jenner Horse Maure....back to my Topic! For music formats, the worst position that could happen is being "Predictable"! The shorter the length of the songs, the longer the playlist, Behooooooves you. The Programming Gurus at Earth, the head "Earthlings", need to make sure that their daily, in the major dayparts, do not get...."So you know, and expect". All the Pencilneck Consultants clearly disagree. So, take a long look, at their current failures, and
pee-u-nee ratings,...and that should tell you something. As for the Earth playlist, I can't say that I disagree with one song, but there is format maintenance, that must be executed, without fail. We will talk about "The Shelf" next.

Moving past your usual pointless, Little Weenie One-Liner, JethroM, you've mustered-up two sentences! You must be exhausted!

Next on the docket, "The Shelf"! I learned how to Program from several different Radio Legends. One understanding, that ran common, was "Resting" certain songs, "Shelved" from Airplay, to protect them from Burn, while launching another list, that had been shelved, for a certain amount of time. This also factored-in the care for seasonal records, granted Airplay only certain times of a Broadcast year. If EARTH FM wants to have a good longevity, then this practice should be implemented, and maintained. It requires a large Playlist, and they seem to have a decent one.

Listen to Good Morning Radio...Earth FM! Yes, I like it!
Debra...said that March is...National Celery Month! So, you Members of the "Hopefully, A 5-Share Club"....go to Ingles, and "Stalk Up"!!

If that's the best alleged humor you can come up with, no wonder you haven't worked in radio for 25 years...Pathetic, ain't he?

I haven't confirmed that it did happen, but if everything reported in the Citizen-Times is true, forget about hearing The Earth anywhere near Asheville.

What stations are changing frequencies now?

TylerSC, Mr. VChimp is referring to the fact that the FCC is in the process of potentially Granting a License to Broadcast to a **Community-Driven** Public Radio Station for Asheville, NC on 103.3 MHz. {!!Heaven Forbid!!} that Radio might actually go back to the **Community** that it purports to actually Serve rather than the Corporate Conglomerates that continue to exist today! As far as I am concerned, this is simply more power to this-Asheville, NC-based effort for this Grass-Roots cause. Kudos to them - I see no problem here. Earth FM, as long as it has a good Stream, can always be found via Streaming over the Internet outside its local markets. Steve.
