Delilah's new home for the Bangor market is...

93.7 The Wave. John Tesh is moved to afternoons, Delilah at 7 p.m., and afternoon woman (sorry, don't remember her name) is moved to middays. Tuned in to see what was playing and heard about it. Confirmed on their web site. Sorry, but I sure do miss the 93.7 the Wave of last summer.....but that's another story.

I also liked the weekend programming during the summer with American Top40 from 80s on Sat. and from 70s on Sunday.
But... I also rather like their more "easier" sound. Actually, I think they and WNSX 97.7 sound VERY similar; although WNSX features more album cuts and WRMO 93.7 is more pop-oriented. I was listening to WRMO 93.7 while driving thru Bangor to the Bangor Mall the other day,
and their signal thru Downtown Bangor and Brewer does break up pretty bad. Once you get out of the Penobscot River valley, they do put in a decent signal. Those who listened to WEZQ before the switch to sports may just "happen to" come across 93.7 and stick with them.

As for Delilah, sorry...too gushy for me. I will quickly switch to WNSX or the old reliable WDEA-1370 which also puts a half-decent signal into Downtown Bangor if you have a very selective radio that can squeeze them out between the two Bangor/Brewer/Veazie talkers on 1340 and 1400. And man do I miss Rick Foster in the morning....Jack Rollins is just AWFUL. and no more local news or features between 6-9AM.

Will the Wave be inserting it's own music into the show? From what I've heard, I don't think Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Nickelback, and Daughtry would fit in too well, which is what Delilah's national feed of music has become recently.

I don't think Delilah has a local only feed like Tesh and Melissa Etheridge do. You can insert your own songs during the commercial breaks but not during the show itself. She fits fine with the music The Wave plays, her music however fits what the Wave used to be before it went light.

We actually reached an agreement with the Delilah show to play our own music with the exception, of course, of the songs that she dedicates to her listeners. We are thrilled that we get to bring fans of Delilah the show that they want, while providing listeners of the station the music that they come to The Wave for. It's a "Win, win!"

I didn't think the show allowed listeners to request specific songs anymore, if they ever did, since obviously listeners would request softer love songs that aren't demo friendly anymore. I don't think she mentions song titles. As far a I know, the whole show is voicetracked earlier in the day, if not earlier...

LOOKING Foward to hearing her at 7PM TONIGHT
She has Super RATINGS in the BANGOR MARKET
Hope you will listen in The Morning
