In a rather weak apology John DePetro dismissed his
"F-a-g" slur of Matt Amarillo as something that "offended a large community".
Huh? ???
He went on to excuse his remarks as one that happened in the "heat of the argument" and that it did not represent WRKO or management.
Sure, and the falling ceilings in the Big Dig don't represent the failures of Bechtel et al.
Seems that WRKO and Entercom who have long track record of "hate speech" and personal attack radio got what they wanted: a week of their name in the paper. As someone once said,' there is not such thing as bad publicity' and they spelled everyone's name correctly.
Entercom set the policy and DePetro just gave them exactly what they wanted. As Ol' Will once said, " I fear thou [ Entercom ] protesteth too much.." Better still, "the problems dear Brutus are not in our stars but in ourselves" for listening to such crap.
Good night and good luck!
Wake up! America!
